It’s always a strange feeling when you’re sitting in a studio across from the host you’ve been listening to for so long.   Joe Donahue at WAMC Northeast Public Radio has one of the great talk shows in the country, and he’s interviewed most of the greatest writers in the world, not to mention the past seven U.S. presidents.  He reads every book and his conversations always seem to get to the heart of the matter.  They are never mundane.  (He told me before we started that he read Devil in the Grove on a recent cruise in the Caribbean, and that he thought he was probably the only on the ship reading it.  I liked him right away.)
